When we first viewed our house we were looking at it as a renovation project so we knew we would be changing it a lot. One of the first things that struck us was how dark and gloomy it was and I knew bringing lots of natural light in was going to be a big part of the project….. A Roofmaker rooflight was the perfect choice….
Shutters, yep I love them! I like the clean aesthetic of shutters inside the window frame and the fact that they look just as fabulous in a period property as they do in a contemporary new build. So, when the people at Shutterly Fabulous asked me to write a blog about them I knew this was going to be right up my street!
This weeks blog post is all about mirrors! Every home has them and used creatively they can make a real difference to any room.... Here's a run down of my mirrors at home plus the three that are currently at the top of my wishlist.
MIffy is a bit of a renovation expert as this is her 9th home renovation to date! She has lived here with her husband Gareth, two year old daughter Frankie and french bulldog Tugboat for the past four years and has no plans to move on this time.... Well, certainly not in the foreseeable future.
I have a confession to make, I'm addicted to rugs! There I said it!..... I spend way to much time trawling the web for fab rugs, it's taken over from my Rightmove addiction of late..... but then we all know how a great rug can completely change the whole vibe of a room....
There are many ways to add a bar to your home, be it a built in bar if you have the space, to using a built in unit to house your bar, utilising shelves in your kitchen or popping a glamorous bar trolley in the corner of the room........
